The burning of white sage (Salvia apiana) is an ancient ritual known as smudging, traditionally used among Indigenous North American people in ceremonies and for clearing spaces because of its cleansing and healing effects. Modern research shows smudging kills 94% of airborne bacteria.  Also known as bee sage or sacred sage, it’s an evergreen perennial shrub found mainly in the coastal sage scrub habitat of Southern California and Baja California. 3 bundles included in pack.
