He is the son of the late Allen Funt, creator of the television program "Candid Camera." He majored in painting at Kenyon and started his working life at The Metropolitan Museum where he became Director of Special Events, followed by a ten year job at Tiffany & Co, as Director of Interior Display and eventually designer of merchandise. Always painting, he has devoted his time exclusively to his art for the past twenty years. A devoted gardener, his paintings are always reflections of this particular passion and the work changes along with the seasons in Norfolk. He has shown in galleries in New York and Connecticut, especially James Graham & Sons, Nelson Macker Fine Art, Bunny Williams Home in New York, and Five Points Gallery and the Norfolk Library in
