This fossilized Mako shark tooth has taken on a beautiful blue grey color from many millennia encased in soft, ancient clay. These teeth hold such rich stories- a shark loses and regrows teeth thousands of times throughout their lifetimes but many are lost and shed while catching prey. This tooth may have been the causality of a particularly challenging meal, all those millions of years ago. We find that fossils connect us to a past that stretches long before us humans came about... We encased this treasure in pure .925 sterling silver and texturized the band as well as the bezel to encapsulate that of the ripples and tides of this being's home. This ring is a size 11.75.
