This rare 1927 Portuguese 5 centavos coin speaks of a changing time in Portugal's history. This gorgeous little treasure features the image of a woman known as La Senora de Lisboa, or the woman of Lisbon, who was a famous philanthropist during the time this coin was minted. Her striking image has been carefully captured in pure sterling silver featuring a thick double band and a section of the backside carefully hallowed out to allow viewing of the coin's date. This beautifully two-toned design is an incredible symbol of feminine power, beauty and strength.
