Dragonfly by Julie Shaw Lutts

I live on a farm where on many a warm summer day thousands of dragonflies zoom around the fields at such speeds you can barely see them. I wanted to learn more about these fascinating creatures, and as I learned I created this book, which is full of amazing facts.  For example, there are over 5000 known species of dragonflies. They have inhabited the earth for over 300 million years. Their wings can beat 30 times per second. They can fly straight up or down, hover in mid-air and even fly upside-down. Many more facts are found in this oversized artist book celebrating this small but beautiful insect.
