The title is a quote by 17th century Swiss mathematician, Jakob Bernoulli. The images, diagrams and equations reference the inherent nature of fractal geometry through the continual appearance of the logarithmic spiral. I am interested in dualities in our human condition-chance versus strategy, faith versus reason, serendipity versus design. I relate these themes to the patterns of fractal shapes found in nature and how the patterns relate to our relationship to and separation from nature. Congratulations to Susan Lowdermilk, a BEST OF SHOW AWARD winner for Infinite Possibilities!
