Victorian 18kt Ruby & Diamond Curled Snake Pendant

An artistic gold pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wonderful piece is made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold with a semi-matte finish and has a beautiful, curled 3-dimensional design. The pendant has the subtle appearance of a snake, whose body coils and loops to form a round pretzel-like shape with its head emerging at the center. A rose of five sparkling diamonds .80ctw and one luscious .40ctw ruby form a line down the snake's head, adding a perfect accent! Three of the diamonds are Rose Cuts in bezel settings; the other two are prong-set old Mine Cuts. Placed strategically on the back of the piece is a hidden gold bail, allowing the pendant to hang seamlessly from a simple gold rolo chain.
