A stunning and unique French pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in vibrant 18kt yellow gold, this beautiful piece is particularly large in size, and adorns an incredible ruby at the center of an elaborate design. The raspberry red gemstone rests in raised prongs within a buttercup setting, and is surrounded by a rich, black enameled border featuring delicate gold accents. Surrounding the central design is an additional border of natural pearls, exhibiting a luscious creamy white color and wonderful surface luster. A wide, gold border encircles the pearls, and is decorated with two 3-dimentional enameled accents on either side, and an additional one at the top, closely resembling a fleur-de-lis motif.
