Botanical Pendant with Beaded Green Aventurine Chain

This dainty nature-inspired pendant necklace features a tiny hand sawn vine soldered to a base of recycled sterling silver which hangs from a rustic hand-forged ring. The sterling silver chain is accented with tiny green aventurine stones.  The pendant is 5/8" in diameter and, along with the ring, drops 1-1/8" from the chain. The chain comes in the length of your choice.  All metal is sterling silver that has been oxidized, tumble polished and sealed with a protective coating. Aventurine is a variety of translucent quartz with abundant small inclusions. Light entering the quartz strikes these inclusions and reflects from them. This produces a sparkly appearance known as "aventurescence." The green inclusions in the stone are fuchsite, a green, chromium-rich mica similar to muscovite. It is mined in India, the Amazon jungle, corners of Russia, and the mountains of Brazil and Chile.  Care:  As with all handmade jewelry, this necklace is delicate and should never be worn when showering, s
