Fabric is sold by the quarter yard and cut as one piece. The amount available refers to how many quarter yard increments are available. Example: Quantity 1 = 1/4 yard. Quantity 2 = 1/2 yard. Etc. ~~~ While 100% linen fabrics can be slightly challenging to sew due to the wobble, the cotton content in this fabric makes it easier to sew - especially if you are looking to get a sharp corner when piecing quilts or sewing a collar. That being said, this fabric exhibits the benefits of linen - lending a slight drape to the fabric and a touch of luster. This fabric shares a similar composition to Essex, however, it is lighter weight and the slightly increased linen content provides more drape. Linen responds well to natural dyes.
