Kotobukiya has released an updated version, Version 2, of their popular "Heavy Weapon Unit" Gun Blade Lance. Although its composite weapon concept remains unchanged, there have been some additions to the color scheme. The main form can also be separated into multiple armed units, with the clear parts now sporting a sleek, flame-like design. In contrast to the original version, the blades of splitter swords A and B have been divided and changed to clear parts. The blade rifle mode has also undergone changes, resulting in a more firearm-like appearance. In addition, the effect parts of the dual blade and rod unit have been revamped to resemble a flame. The Laser Claw's effect parts have also been renewed, while the short axe mode has been eliminated in favor of a new shape and division for the rod. This versatile weapon can be transformed into eight different modes: Burst mode (when using all parts), Blade Rifle mode, Save mode, Dagger mode, Splitter Sword mode, Blaze Lance mode
