Webinar Title and Description: Interdisciplinary Management of Contraversive Pushing Behaviors in Individuals Poststroke—Contraversive pushing behaviors (CPB) refer to a postural control disorder in individuals poststroke and often lead to longer lengths of stay, poorer functional outcomes, and institutionalized discharge locations compared to individuals with stroke without CPB. At times, this behavior can be accompanied by neglect, sensory and cognitive deficits, making it challenging to mobilize these individuals. This webinar will discuss the pathophysiology of CPB, outcomes assessment, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to decrease CPB, and ways to safely mobilize these individuals while keeping therapists, staff and caregivers safe.
