This tile depicts a petroglyph image of a big horn sheep with a diamond pattern and a human figure. Tile is handcrafted by pressing soft clay into a carved plaster mold to create raised ridges. The valleys are flooded with glaze and then fired to cone 5. The tile is suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. Many of these designs were made for a public art project called Entrada del Sol in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Sized to accommodate a grout line resulting in 3 inch finished dimension. This is a handmade tile and variations in color, texture, and size occur naturally. Handmade by Glenn Schwaiger.
