
Make a Mosaic Tray Using Natural and Found Objects
Create a one-of-a-kind mosaic tray using stone, glass, ceramic shell, and other bits. Learn to finish your artwork with grout and spray varnish. All materials will be provided. However, you are encouraged to bring small solid keepsakes such as charms, toys, beads, or jewels to add to the unique design you create. Date: March 21st and 22nd, 2024 (Thursday and Friday)Time: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. both daysLocation: Class is held at home of Lucy Reser in Las Cruces, NMClass size limited to 5 participants Your instructor Jan Minow is an artist by training, temperament, and tradition. Her mother, also an artist, passed on her artistic sensibility. Jan earned a BFA degree from the University of Colorado. Along with being a prolific painter, she has always enjoyed sculpting, making jewelry, and cooking. Jan started making these found-object vessels when she was searching for a way to showcase treasures she would find in nature.
