Dutasteride Dutasteride belongs to a class of drugs called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. Research has shown that these inhibitors inhibit the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It may promote hair regrowth and slow down hair loss in male subjects with male pattern baldness. Furthermore, research has suggested that Dutasteride may be more efficacious than Finasteride for stopping baldness.
