Statera 'Unicus' Chardonnay 2021 (750 ml)

New Wine, orangish Chardonnay. It's 50% direct press chardonnay blended with 50% skin contact chardonnay, all from Royer Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. We love the texture of this wine, with just a touch of phenolics combined with the richness from the long lees aging. Winemaking: Half of the grapes were whole cluster pressed, then fermented and aged in neutral french barriques for 16 months. Half of the grapes were whole berry fermented under a submerged cap for 24 days, pressed and then aged in neutral french barriques for 16 months. The two wines were blended just prior to bottling.
