100% Grillo, Siciliane IGP It's full of lemon peel and citrus, and a little fennel that leads to a deliciously chalky finish. This isn't your typical salty, sea-blessed Sicilian. This one's all about the inland hills and those little towns where the locals go at their own pace, producing beautiful wines and food, and living well. For centuries the manor has towered above the “Pianogrillo” hill. It is a true manor house amid cypresses and olive groves, overlooking a green plain known as “Piana dell’Acate”, within the ancient county of Modica and Chiaramonte (nowadays Province of Ragusa). Originally, during the Middle Ages, the building on the hill was a watchtower to lookout for and defend against the Saracens.
