A medium abstract landscape, 20 x 20 x 1.5 inches, acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas. The Lost Coast 2022 series is based on a backpacking trip I took along the Lost Coast in Humboldt County. One of the things that struck me about this experience was how big a role the atmosphere plays. The shifting haze and moisture create tremendous depth and almost unbelievable veils and shimmer. I wanted to capture that energy in these abstracted views looking into one of the canyons from the beach.
