The West slope of the High Uintas is popular summer and winter for hiking horseback and back country ski tours, as well as motorized trail sports. This map uses a novel combination of shaded orthographic imagery superimposed to the Forest Service modified USGS 7.5 minute quads, printed at 1"=3000' (1:36,000). The map shows an overview of the Uintas including the vast Wilderness area which is included in the Uinta Map 2. (2003)
