DEADSTOCK M-65 FISHTAIL LINER

A detachable coat liner is the perfect mid-layer for those frigid days, especially an authentic military-spec liner such as this. Issued in 1973 to fit the Extreme Cold Weather Fishtail Parka, the M-65 fishtail liner is made with sage green nylon and a highly insulating polyester batting. This innovative layering system for the military field uniform was developed in the '60s to allow soldiers to adapt to extreme weather and unpredictable environments. Today, the liner can be paired with any M-65 coat or worn on its own in mild weather. This is an authentic vintage item.
