About this Image:This painting tells a humbling story of the gifts given and the gift received when a simple woman approached the Savior and proceeded to anoint His head with ointment and wash His feet with her tears, kiss them, and dry them with her hair. Perhaps she was caught up in mixed emotions—godly sorrow for past indiscretions, coupled with the joy that can come only from the sweet cleansing words, "Thy sins are forgiven." Indeed, it is our quiet acts of service, performed with love, that do a small part to repay our Savior for His ultimate gift.
