These beautiful earrings feature a cross-piece of deep red palo sangre wood with dangles of small red and black beads matched with a natural orange and black huayruru seed on top. Huayruru is the common name for a distinctive group of tropical trees in the bean family. They are considered good luck, but it is important to remember that they are not edible. These earrings are made by a talented artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for over ten years. The French hooks are made with non-allergenic material.
