The IMO Model Course 7.16 is a comprehensive training program designed to equip seafarers with essential skills and knowledge required as an Able Seafarer Engine (AB Engine). This course meets the mandatory minimum requirements outlined in Table A III/5 of the STCW Code, guaranteeing that trainees receive a robust foundation in marine engineering principles. Participants will engage with four core functions at the support level, which include: Marine Engineering: Understanding ship's propulsion systems and machinery. Electrical, Electronic, and Control Engineering: Gaining insights into shipboard electrical systems and controlling operations. Maintenance and Repair: Learning essential techniques for the upkeep and repair of critical ship systems.
