Issued Austrian Stahlhelm 1/M75 Helmet w/Reproduction Liner

The Austrian Stahlhelm 2 or M1958 steel helmet was adopted by the Austrian Bundesheer soon after their reformation in 1955. Initially the Austrians issued US-supplied surplus M1 helmets, but after the surplus supply ran dry began producing their own copy of that iconic design. When the Kampfanzug 75 uniform was introduced the Bundesheer's helmets were updated as well. This new design was named the Stahlhelm 1 or M1975 steel helmet. Some minor changes to the liner were introduced and a new olive drab color scheme adopted. These helmets make for great collection pieces. With several modifications they could also be used for WWII reenacting.
