For much of the 20th century, Pan American Airways was the international air carrier, an innovative airline that was the first to fly worldwide routes, utilize jet aircraft, and upgrade to computerized reservation systems. From its humble beginnings in Florida in 1927 through to its dissolution in 1991, Pan-Am captured the American imagination, and indeed, the imagination of early international travelers across the entire world. We’re not shy about our display of Pan-Am ephemera here at the Analog:Shift office.
