Sapienza Dome

This dome is unique to Rome. Francesco Boromini, a prolific architect of the time, built it. It is the only dome In the center with a spiral lantern shape. Because of this, I often used it as a navigational reference in my first few visits when I got lost. As my knowledge of the city has grown, I still see this spire and feel a wash of comfort knowing that I am not lost.
