Antique c.1840s Paris Grand Tour Calling Card Tray, 7 Eglomise Paintings of Paris Architectural Icons

We've just bought the collection of a longtime good customer, and will have 31 pieces in all listing soon. Each sold separately. The term, "eglomise" refers to a decorative technique of painting on the backside of glass. These are each little works of art. The collection varies from c.1830-1890. Will describe each as listed: Eugène Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc (born Jan. 27, 1814, Paris, France—died Sept. 17, 1879, Lausanne, Switz.) was chosen to do the restoration of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris in 1844. This little center painting was done before the time he added the tall spire that fell in the fire of April 14, 2019. These early Grand Tour souvenirs are more and more difficult to find in fine form, particularly the very early ones. The views you see here also include the Bourse (bank), the Pantheon, Napoleon's Arc Triomphe, Concord and fountains, Medici Palace, the Madeleine cathedral.
