ITEM DESCRIPTION: TThis is a vintage piece of sports memorabilia consisting of an autographed black and white portrait of New York Giants former pitcher, Carl Hubbell. This print features a headshot of Hubbell in a relaxed pose, wearing his Giants uniform. This item is in excellent condition; it is signed ‘Carl Hubbell’ with a blue ink felt tip pen on the bottom right corner, and is framed in a 1.5’’ thick laminated wooden board, an engraved metal plate with his name and a 3mm thick acrylic sheet. Carl Owen Hubbell (1903 - 1988), nicknamed "The Meal Ticket" and "King Carl", was an American Major League Baseball player. He was a pitcher for the New York Giants of the National League from 1928 to 1943, and remained on the team's payroll for the rest of his life, long after their move to San Francisco. Twice voted the National League's Most Valuable Player, Hubbell was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame
