Bolila Island Mangrove Eco-park, located in Hinoba-an City, Negros Occidental, is a prime example of natural beauty and ecological importance. As we delve deeper into the issues of climate change, it becomes evident that many of our leaders have provided only surface-level solutions, or worse, implemented practices that harm our natural ecosystems. From creating artificial beaches to constructing highways over recovering rivers, we need leaders who demand accountability and take meaningful action from both private and public entities responsible for this destruction and distraction from real progress. Like these mangroves, we often see only what is above the surface. To truly appreciate the life below, we need to dive deeper.
