 Condition: used 161/500 Waist: 34in Rise: 13in inseam: 34in A model of denim predating the famous 501 denim. In the 2000’s Levi’s acquired a pair of pants found in the Nevada desert at a mining area for $45,000. The pair is one of the oldest and well preserved pairs of denim ever found, being dated back to the 1880’s, this being done by the 1873 patent engravings on the rivets, a patent that expired in 1890. LVC is a branch of Levis (Levis Vintage Clothing) and deals with digging into their extensive 20,000 pair archive and replicating significant pairs of denim. A couple of re-editions have been made including one for Japan, but this 500 limited edition is one of the best LVC’s. The pair features 1873 patent engraved rivets, painted to appear oxidized, one rear pocket and one tool pocket. A single stitch selvedge waistband with no belt loops, only suspender buttons.
