Intended for Grades 4+ Included in this package is a teacher's project sheet, a paper folding guide sheet, a fully animated PowerPoint, AND an instructional video!The PowerPoint contains all the pertinent information you need for this project.. so be sure to review it BEFORE teaching (you’ll want to go through it in presentation mode yourself).The PowerPoint begins by defining symmetry as a type of formal balance, then clarifies the difference between linear and radial symmetry. Next it goes into how you can divide an image plane up into fractions to create radial designs (the more it is divided, the easier it is to create a more complex designs). Then it goes into the folds, a couple math questions examples, and then the project.
