Art Vocabulary Scavenger Hunt and Jeopardy Game (Volume One)

One of the greatest challenges art students face during a critique, is their frequent inability to verbalize their artistic intentions. So much time is spent teaching art history, techniques, and process, that we as teachers often forget to give students the tools (the vocabulary) they need to be successful. The purpose of this package is to help reinforce some of the basic terminology needed by art students today.This package begins with a vocabulary scavenger hunt. Have students work by themselves or in groups to match each definition in the packet to its matching vocabulary word. You can have students use the included art vocabulary list- or for a more interactive approach, have them match the words with their definitions by looking at my Elements of Art and Principles of Design posters and/or Visual Word Wall Cards (not included – sold separately)! I’ve also included a version of the vocabulary scavenger hunt that has the first letter of each word already written in. This is a grea
