Catherine & Michel Langlois Val de Loire Sauvignon 2018

Region: Pouilly Fumé and Coteaux du Giennois, Loire, France Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc   Husband-wife vigneron team Catherine and Michel Langlois settled in Pougny in 1996, intent on devoting themselves to vine growing winemaking.  Their philosophy is to follow in the Loire Valley vineyard traditions, crafting wines that respect the soil, pay homage to the climate, and speak to the personality of the land.  Their 17-Hectare estate is managed by the entire family, with their three sons, Pierre, Jean-Vincent and Valentin, taking part in the estate's activities.  These 30 year old vines are a classic rendition of the Loire, expressing the calcium-rich soil and cool climate.
