
Uncharted - Chalk and Ink Line Drawing for Inktober
#inktober is a yearly event where artists of all sorts draw a daily prompt in ink for the month of October. The challenge is to draw every day and practice using a medium that is permanent. You can sketch your drawing in pencil first, but once you touch the ink to the paper, it's there.Day 20's prompt is Uncharted. The ocean has been a symbol of death for millennia. The ferry that takes spirits to the afterlife ventures across the ocean or sea, the storms and unforgiving anger wreck ships, and it’s one of the least explored places on our planet. We know more about space and the universe than we do our own oceans. The effects of climate change on our ocean life have been devastating and we may never fully realize the extent of the damage or the vital role that ocean health has on the rest of the planet. For this prompt I chose an ominous horizon line to illustrate this unknowing and knowing; that the future will contain more death and grief no matter what happens.This chalk and line dra
