Wings over Solano 2024 Blue Angels #1 Canvas

The Blue Angels are the flight demonstration team of the United States Navy, and are the oldest flight demonstration team in our armed forces.  They began flying at airshows in the early 1950's.  I remember one time I was in the Costco in Vacaville and my Dad noticed a veteran with the "Blue Angels" on his hat and mentioned how I had just got back from Fleetweek to see them.  The guy was an actual former pilot of the Blue Angels and showed me photos on his phone of photos he took while flying as a member of the team back in the 1960's.     It is unbelievable how close they get to each other and and how much time and practice it takes to get that good at flying together.  It is a great show of teamwork and dedication.     Photographer: Dylan Carpowich
