The Matrix features a polymer exterior, mated to an aluminum internal frame and wrapped with our exclusive foamed vinyl grip. These materials and construction are preferred by some users for tactile comfort in cold weather, and those looking to shave some weight off the duty belt. The Matrix incorporates Dual Fuel Technology, so you'll never be without a power source―it runs with either the included rechargeable 18650 battery, or 2 optional CR123A primary (single use) cells. The 18650 battery charges inside the flashlight, using the supplied cord, or any USB-C phone/electronics charging cord―no separate battery charger needed.
