Metal Print #2: Trifid and Lagoon Nebula

Photographer Gregory U. Jáuregui Step into a celestial ocean of stars as you behold the mesmerizing Lagoon and Trifid Nebula, a giant interstellar cloud in the constellation of Sagittarius. What sets this image apart is its unique capturing process—two separate images were stitched together to create a mosaic of two panels. Because these celestial marvels stretch over an impressively wide field, capturing their mosaic was a must in order to appropriately showcase them in all their resplendent glory. By using special filters, I have highlighted the swirling gases of the H-Alpha and Oxygen-III emission nebula, bringing forth a mixture of red and blue hues, respectively.
