Kent Fuller was born in 1938 and got into hot rodding at an early age. After a stint in the Navy, he went to work at C-T Automotive in North Hollywood doing welding work. He was impressed with the performance of his brother-in-law's Buick motor so he started building a dragster frame for that engine. That was the beginning of the legend. There were a lot of people in that circle that would become big names in Drag Racing history- Don "the Beachcomber" Johnson, TV Tommy Ivo, Tony Nancy, and Don Prudhomme. Kent Fuller's frames were known for their strength, shape and light weight. He had no intention of becoming a self-employed dragster fabricator but people were already lining up to have him build a chassis for them. Tony Nancy was building a place in Sherman Oaks so Kent rented a shop there in late 1957. Between 1957 and 1971 Fuller built over 250 chassis and retired from Drag Racing in 1990.
