Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is used in some underhood areas such as windshield washer bottles and radiator overflow tanks. In non-automotive applications, it is used on ATV fenders, kayaks, canoes, dirt bike fenders and gas tanks, motor home water tanks and agricultural water/fertilizer tanks. Because polyethylene is very waxy, it is almost impossible to get quality repairs using adhesives. Welding is the best repair method for polyethylene. Polyethylene is naturally a translucent white color. No pigment has been added to make less visible repairs when welding natural polyethylene parts. This package contains 1 lb (0.45 kg) of natural low-density polyethylene (LDPE) welding rod.
