Delta, CO (100K quad) Exploration Map for Sightseeing

There is no shortage of fun to be found on this map! Grand Junction, CO (GJ) and Interstate I-70 are close by, immediately north of this area. Delta is the largest town on the map; Orchard City and Olathe are on the east border. This map extends from the Utah border on the west to 57 miles to the east, and from south of GJ it stretches 37 miles to the south (about 2,100 sqare miles). Counties include southern Mesa County (appropriately named!), southeast Delta Co. and part of northern Montrose Co. This map has 1,000-foot color bands plus labeled elevation contours which make it very easy to understand the high points and valleys. Elevations in this area range from about 4,625 in the Dolores River valley (west-central) and along the Gunnison River (north-central) to 10,450 feet in the forest/hiking/camping area at the top of the mesa (north
