
Lamar, CO Topographic Map for Navigation and Recreation
Numerous recreation areas are shown on this map of the Lamar 250K Quadrangle in far East-Southeast Colorado (38 to 39 degrees LAT, 102 to 104 degrees LON) that covers over 7,000 square miles of mostly rural land. National Historic Sites include Sand Creek Massacre, between Lamar and Cheyenne Wells, and Bent’s Old Fort west of Las Animas. Other historic points of interest like cemeteries and schools also shown. Campsites are mapped at John Martin Reservoir State Park/state wildlife area (SWA), Hugo SWA, Karval Reservoir SWA, & Kinney Lake SWA. The larger state trust lands for seasonal hunting include Brett Gray Ranch STL, Blue Lake STL, Queens STL/SWA, Keller Lease STL, Karney Ranch STL/SWA, and Sweetwater STL. State fishing units (SFU) are mapped at John Martin Reservoir and Holbrook Reservoir.
