The original Compu-Dobby came equipped with a 25 pin serial port. While standard on PCs in the early-mid 80s, the PC world eventually standardized on the RS232 9 pin d-sub style connector. Adapting a Compu-Dobby I to a RS232 style port requires one of these 25 to 9 pin serial adapters.
