Workshop: WeavePoint for Layers Online

WeavePoint for Layers taught Online via Zoom by Jannie Taylor We’ll look at several multi-layered fabric construction possibilities including: layers of structure, layers and blocks, stitched layers, creating 3-D structures and much more. The structure and “architecture” of these textiles will be explored and the issues surrounding weaving layered fabric will be covered.  Throughout the workshop, we’ll identify and practice using the various WeavePoint tools that will help you design stunning layered fabric. Prior to class, a comprehensive workbook will be sent as a PDF document to be printed by the student. A collection of drafts to be used during and after the workshop will also be provided. Skill Level: Intermediate: some software experience is desirable. Duration: 3-day workshop conducted Monday, Wednesday and Saturday of the week from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM PST each day with instructor availability between sessions.
