Painted Desert | Artisan Soap

Shea & Cocoa Butters with Apricot Kernel Oil   The Painted Desert is a region of the Petrified Forest National Park. This park is millions of years old and made up of many geological layers. Over the ages, man different species have called this home.  Much of the terrain is made up of fluvial deposits (the stuff left behind by ancient oceans and fast-moving rivers and floods). Most of these deposits are sandstone, which comes in a variety of stunning colors.  Other areas that are rich in iron and manganese, often oxidize into the reddish colors. But, in areas where the water table is still high, there is less oxygen in the ground, creating deposits that are blue, green and even purple.  We chose a complex scent begins with notes of bergamot, lemon, cucumber water, violet, and a hint of jasmine. The second round of scent includes deeper notes of cashmere, musk, and pine sap. We believe it's representative of all the scents you'll pick up in our ancient desert.  We are also happy to
