A simple vanilla sock recipe with a little something extra using fingering weight yarn. This is a cuff down sock pattern, while its great for beginners it will also keep the interest of the most experienced knitters as well. Most of the sock is a vanilla pattern concept, but each row you will be working a very simple pattern across only 7 stitches. Length of leg and foot are customizable. The 1x1 twisted rib cuff works itself right into the rest of the pattern, any style cuff, heel and toe will work I do give instructions for my faves. YARN: 100 grams of fingering weight yarn. 75% sw merino/25% nylon. 400yds/100 grams. (this is what I used, but you can use any fingering weight yarn. A contrast color for the cuffs, heels and/or toes is optional but adds a nice look (20-25 grams) NEEDLES: US size 1 (2.25mm) Choose your favorite way to knit in the round: DPN’s, magic loop, 9” circular will all work great.
