#C240 - Size 32/33 Slate and Shell Go Stones (Moon) and Go Bowls (Chestnut) Set

This lovely set includes chestnut Go Bowls and refurbished slate and shell Go Stones. The stones are size 33 slate & size 32 shell. They have been cleaned per our Care Instructions. The clamshells are a mix of grades, with a substantial number of snow and moon stones but also a few utility stones. The 181 slate stones are larger to account for black's slimming effect, and have been washed and rinsed with distilled water, you can polish them with mineral oil if you like a darker look. It's preferred to have the black stones slightly larger than the white - if they are the same size, the bright white pieces will appear larger. This is why standard black stones are about 22mm wide while the white are about 21.5mm. In this case the black stones are thicker as well. The bowls are Chestnut with a pleasing brown tone. They have not been cleaned, they still have their original shellac finish in good shape. At XL size they fit the stones nicely. The previous owner left their name on the und
