Otto Wagner Postsparkasse Bentwood Stool by GTV
Otto Wagner's Postsparkasse stool is a synthesis of extreme shapes, minimalism, exclusivity, and an eye for detail. The “Postsparkasse” series was designed in 1906 by Otto Wagner for the headquarters of the Post Office Savings Bank in Vienna. It represents a clear expression of modern Viennese art. The solid bent beech wood structure is both embracing and ergonomic. This item introduces a new concept to the “Postsparkasse” series: the use of wood with a square, not round cross-section, to create a more rigorous design. The range comprises an armchair, chair, and stool. Made in Italy by GTV. Dimensions: H 18 3/4" D 16 1/2" W 16 1/2" Materials: Bentwood stool. Beechwood frame with a natural, stained or lacquered finish. Perforated beech plywood seat. Aluminum embellishment. Minimum order of quantity 2.
