"Bottled Botanicals" with Bronagh Dempsey

Prerequisites: Intro to Borosilicate + Intro to Tubing Learn how to create small scale flowers—no bigger than your thumb! Using borosilicate glass and a bench mounted torch, learn techniques to create miniature specimens such as plant matter and insects, followed by learning how to encapsulate these objects within glass tubing. The result is unique, small scale pieces. This class is designed for students who are comfortable working with hollow tubing. One year of glassblowing experience is required. Advanced students are also welcome. This is a weekend intensive of two 6-hour classes with a lunch break!
