Black Onyx, Round, Matte Excpet for Equatorial Belt, 6mm on 16" Strands

6mm Black Onyx beads that have been mechanically sandblasted, or chemically etched, to create a matte finish, except for a shiny belt around the bead's equator, that remained  protected during the matting process This mix of shiny and matte is subtle, but interesting I like these beads for earrings where they catch the light more, but I can see them for bracelets and necklaces too
