Rosette Studs - silver and copper

Handmade using certified recycled materials, these dainty studs were made using a pine branch from our tree "Needles." In the spring at the branch tips you can find tiny rosette shapes which look like baby pinecones, however as the weather warms, these small rosettes evolve into the starting place for new branches to grow outwards.  Each earring is handcrafted using recycled sterling silver or copper metal clay and is soldered to a recycled sterling silver post. These pair wonderfully with hoops or other studs. Earring sets come gift packaged in recycled and recyclable/ compostable/ reusable materials. . Inspired by the yearning to be closer and connected to the natural world, The Biophilia Collection is crafted from organic components found in the Maryland mountainside  and hand cast in my home studio using recycled sterling silver and copper metal clay.  Locally scavenged seeds, needles, leaves, fungus, branches and bark are the inspiration and forms for these whimsical pieces.
